Hi! Welcome. I’m Tori, The Tight Yogi. I grew up in Alaska and received my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification in 2019, my undergraduate in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation in 2020, and my Masters of Arts in Outdoor Education Leadership in 2024.

My yoga lineage is Iyengar and Hatha Yoga which are slower-moving forms of yoga that focus on meditation, mindfulness, and anatomically correct postures in each asana. This path of yoga encourages us to slow down and reconnect with our body and our emotions. As someone with chronically tight muscles I understand how to adapt asana flows to individual needs through the use of props and variated poses.

Growing up in Alaska the opportunities to be in the outdoors were bountiful, and my desire to show the outdoors to others is how I became an outdoors guide. During my time in the outdoors, I began bringing yoga to my clients as a way to rest their bodies after a day of hiking in the mountains, and the change was immediate. As my career transferred from the outdoors to the indoors I brought yoga along with me. And here we are…
